Dan Friend coached the women’s team to 22-plus wins in each of his three seasons with the highlight being the 2003 season when the Jets went 32-8 overall and 14-2 in league play. On the men’s side, he built a program that placed second in the NAIA National Tournament by its third season having two 20 plus win seasons in 2003 and 2004 and being nationally ranked in the top 10 all three seasons. He coached 20 All-Conference, eight All-Region, and two All-American players in his career at Newman University.
