Newman University Athletics

Via Christi has been a strong partner with Newman Athletic Training and the Athletic Department. Medical services began with two part-time trainers, and by 2004 Via Christi provided two full-time trainers dedicated to Newman, and began to have team physicians visit campus for weekly injury evaluations. Via Christi’s Orthopedic Director, Kenneth Jansson, bas been one of the “Team Physicians” since the inception of the agreement, along with Medical Director, Mark Stovak, since the early 2000s.
