A former Newman University bowler, Bianca Montagnino-Simmons enters into her ninth year as the Assistant Women’s Bowling Coach. Bianca was one of the first female athletes to sign for the Newman program during their inaugural season in 2003. A three-time Academic All-American, Bianca helped lead the Jets to three consecutive national Intercollegiate Team Championship appearances from 2003-2006. During her bowling career, Bianca also helped her team maintain national team rankings in the Top 15, reaching their peak in 2005 as a Top 10 team in the nation. One of the highlights of her athletic career came as she claimed the National Women’s Intercollegiate Singles Championship in 2005. Bianca also earned honors throughout her three years on the lanes as she was named to several All-Tournament Teams at  such tournaments as the Blue and Gold Classic, Leatherneck Classic, Mid-State Championship, and the Keystone Quaker Classic. To this day, Bianca is the only female bowler in Newman University history to roll a perfect 300 game during competition which earned her the Women’s Most Valuable Player, High Series and High Game at the Keystone Quaker Classic in 2004.

Bianca brings over thirteen years of experience to her coaching career in addition to her academic background as a Newman University Alum where she graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Liberal Arts and Science degree in the field of Communication in 2006. In addition, Bianca has also earned her Master of Arts degree in Communication from Wichita State University in 2008. Bianca currently works at INVISTA-Koch Companies' Industries.
