Newman University Athletic Communications
The Newman University Athletic Communications Office is available to assist you with coverage of all 18 Jets athletic teams. Sports Information Director Daphne Williams will be happy to help you during the athletic season. The Communications Office is located inside O’Shaughnessy Hall on the second floor. For information regarding credentials, interviews, statistics, etc., please call the office (316) 942-4291 ext. 2110 or visit newmanjets.com with any other questions.
To assist you during the season, please take time to read the media information found on this page. Briefly, interviews must be arranged through the Communications Office at least one day (24 hours) in advance. Please make the office aware of any interviews conducted via phone. All Newman practices are closed to the media without prior notification given by Communications staff.
MEDIA GUIDELINES
Media Credentials
Credentials for Newman University home athletic events, as well as sideline passes, will only be issued to working media outlets. If you wish to obtain credentials, please contact the Newman Athletic Communications Office at least three days prior to the event. Any person wishing to take photos must obtain credentials from the Ath. Comms. office.
Interview Policy
All Newman coaches and players are normally available for interviews following a 10-minute post-game cool down period, as per NCAA regulations. Please ask a member of the Ath. Comms. staff to arrange an interview. The Newman Department of Athletics does not hold weekly press conferences. All interviews with coaches and student-athletes must go through the Ath. Comms. office. Please give at least 24 hour notice for interview requests.
