Last Time Out...
Newman won its ninth-consecutive home game, handling St. Mary's 66-59 on Saturday. The Jets had problems finding any rhythm early, falling behind 8-2 in the first four minutes of action. Newman tied it at the 11:53 mark, 10-10, after a Satoria Bell free-throw. Near the ten minute mark, the Jets took their first lead of the game, 15-14, capped off by a Sam Soyez free-throw. This would be the last time St. Mary's would taste the lead. The Jets would extend the lead to as many as 10 points, and the Rattlers wouldn't pull within five points in the second half.

Satoria Bell led Newman with 29 points and seven rebounds. Bell was joined in double-figures by Tasha Cannon's 17-point, 17-rebound double-double. As a team, the Jets shot 37.7 percent (23-61), and converted 66.7 percent (16-24) of their free-throws.

Player to Watch...
Kianna Flannagan- The junior from Hawthorn, Calif. has been an integral part of the Jets success, averaging 9.0 points and 4.0 assists per game in Heartland Conference action.
