FORT HAYS, Kan. - The women's tennis team completed its Fall season at Fort Hays State Friday afternoon. The 7-2 victory for the Jets ended the season on a postive note.

Newman started off well in doubles competition with Taylor Jordan and Kirstie Symon beating Brittany Ricci and Melissa Skovira, 8-5. Next was Hillary Hicks and Courtney Dold who could not withstand the Tigers Caitlyn Wark and Camille Caron-Bedard losing 8-2. Lisa Pleskan and Jessica Brown gave Newman the 2-1 led after beating Laura Johnson and Brianna Watkins, 8-2.
 
The Jets kept pushing during singles competition with Symon starting it off with a 6-2, 6-2 win over Bedard. Pleskan gave Newman another point as she won 6-0, 6-1 against Ricci. The next set was Hicks against Wark which turned out to be a devastating one for Newman. Hicks could not finish play due an achilles injury; the Tigers earned that point making it Newman 4, Fort Hays 2. Dold started the run for the Jets as she overcame Skovira 6-2, 1-6, 10-8. It was another close match as Jordan beat Johnson 2-6, 6-2, 12-10. Finishing off singles play was Le beating Watkins 6-3, 6-0.

The lady Jets continued its Fall season dominance with the 7-2 victory over Fort Hays State.
