WICHITA – The Newman women's tennis team defeated Tabor College, 9-0, on Saturday afternoon (Feb. 16) at West Genesis. The Lady Jets only dropped eight total games in the dominating victory.
 
At No. 1 and 2 singles, Kirstie Symon and Lisa Pleskan won by the identical score of 6-0, 6-1. Courtney Dold and Alajandra Hernandez did one better, winning 6-0, 6-0 at No. 3 and No. 6 singles, respectively.
 
Carissa Villaflor got a 6-1, 6-1 win at No. 4 singles, and at No. 5 singles, Jessica Brown won 8-2.
 
In doubles, Symon and Taylor Jordan won 8-1 at No. 1. Pleskan and Villaflor also won 8-1 at No. 2 doubles. At No. 3 doubles, Dold and Hernandez picked up a 8-0 victory.
 
The Lady Jets travel to the Missouri Western Invite on Feb. 22-23 in St. Joseph, Mo.
