WICHITA – The Newman women's tennis team continued its great start with a 9-0 victory over Tabor College on Saturday (Feb. 15). The Lady Jets are 4-0 in the spring and 8-0 overall.
 
Kirstie Symon and Taylor Jordan cruised to an 8-1 win at No. 1 doubles. At No. 2 doubles, Maria Hernandez and Carissa Villaflor won 8-0. In the No. 3 doubles match, Ariana Raga and Hillary Hicks also won by the score of 8-0.
 
Playing at No. 1 singles, Jordan won in straight sets 6-3, 6-1. At No. 2 singles, Symon won 6-0, 6-1. In the No. 3 singles match, Hicks got a 6-0, 6-0 win. Raga also won by a 6-0, 6-0 score at No. 4 singles. Villaflor won 6-0, 6-1 at No. 5 singles, and Hernandez got a 6-1, 6-2 win at No. 6 singles.
 
The Lady Jets are next in action on Feb. 21 against Northeastern State at West Genesis in Wichita.
