WICHITA – The Newman men's tennis team won, 5-4, over Seward County Community College on Wednesday (March 12). The Jets improved to 4-3 in the spring.
 
The Jets took two of the three doubles matches, including one by default. Evgeniy Kim and Max Pyle got the other win in doubles, shutting out their opponent, 8-0, at No. 2 doubles.
 
In singles play, Miguel Bendito got a 6-2, 6-2 victory at No. 4 singles. NU picked up wins at No. 5 and 6 singles by default. Pyle and Jeff Wherritt were the two winners in those matches.
