PUEBLO, Colo. – The Newman men's tennis team won, 6-3, at CSU-Pueblo on Friday (March 21) at Pueblo City Park. The Jets moved to 7-7 on the season.
 
The Jets won two of the three in doubles to go up 2-1 after the completion of doubles competition. Freddy Sanchez and Max Pyle won 8-6 at No. 2 doubles, and Miguel Bendito and Evgeniy Kim got a 8-0 victory at No. 3 doubles.
 
NU got victories in four of the singles matches, including No. 1-3. Eduardo Santos won in straight sets 7-5, 6-2 at No. 1 singles. Nei Dos Santos picked up a 7-6 (7-5), 2-6, 10-7 victory in the No. 2 singles match. Kim cruised to a 6-1, 6-4 win at No. 3 singles. Pyle was victorious in straight sets at No. 6 singles. He won 6-2, 6-3.
 
The Jets return to the court tomorrow (March 22) against Colorado Christian at 1 p.m. in Lakewood, Colo.
