WICHITA, Kan. — The Newman women's basketball team got off to a fast start and rolled to an 87-18 victory over Central Christian (Mo.) Monday night at Fugate Gymnasium.
KEY SEQUENCE
The Jets (1-2) sank their first four baskets of the night against the Saints (0-3) and shot 17-of-25 from the field in the first quarter to bolt out to an insurmountable lead.
HOW IT HAPPENED
-The Jets raced out to a 30-0 lead in the first eight minutes of the game, and led 56-8 at the half.
-They slowed down their pace in the second half, leading 79-13 after three quarters.
