WICHITA, Kan. — The Newman women's tennis team didn't drop a set in turning in a quick 9-0 victory over McPherson Sunday at West Genesis.
Kate Bugayenko and Kateryna Stoianova breezed to 6-1, 6-0 victories at No. 1 and No. 3 singles, respectively, and then teamed up for an 8-1 win at No. 1 doubles. It's the first sweep of this season for the Jets (3-1), who recorded 10 a year ago.
Newman heads to Missouri next weekend, facing Lewis Saturday before taking on No. 30 Drury Sunday.
