HISTORY LESSON
An 87-42 win by the Lady Chaps in January was the second in a row in the series, which LCU leads 4-1 since the two became conference mates. DeGrate turned in what was then a career-high nine points in the loss last month, adding four rebounds and a steal.
NOTES
-While LCU has shown plenty of teams in the Heartland how powerful they can be, the Jets were the first to knock the Chaps off their perch in league play. After going 20-0 in conference in their first year in 2013-14, then winning their first two league games of the next season, Newman handed Lubbock a 52-46 loss on Jan. 8, 2015.
-Despite a tough record to show for it, the Jet defense has been on its game recently, holding opponents to 67 points or fewer in six of their last seven games. That culminated in limiting OPSU to 43 on Thursday, which was the best defensive performance in conference play this season.
COVERAGE
The game will be broadcast live on 1410 AM (KGSO) in Wichita, with live video, audio and statistics available at www.newmanjets.com.
