DALLAS — Facing off against another regionally ranked team for the second time in four days, the Newman men's tennis team put forth a solid effort, falling in a close match to Colorado Mesa 5-4 Tuesday morning.
The Jets (4-6) picked up a big win out of Andre Ebinal and Diego Rojo Fernandez at No. 3 doubles, and both doubled up their wins on the day as Ebinal grabbed a 6-4, 6-3 win at No. 2 singles and Fernandez worked for a 6-3, 1-6, 6-3 win at No. 5. Max Pyle added the team's fourth point, working for a three-set victory at No. 4 singles.
