WICHITA, Kan. – After traveling on the road last weekend, the Newman women's basketball team ventures back out to Oklahoma Christian Thursday evening and St. Edward's Saturday afternoon.
SCOUTING NEWMAN
The Jets (13-6, 3-4 Heartland) went all the way down to Laredo, Texas on Thursday to take Texas A&M International and walked away with a 67-48 victory over the Dustdevils. Newman then went on to play St. Mary's Saturday but lost in a close 67-65 contest to the Rattlers.

The Eagles hold a 7-2 all-time record over the Jets. Both teams met earlier this season back on Dec. 19 at Fugate Gymnasium, which Oklahoma Christian escaped with a 67-66 victory off a buzzer beater.
St. Edward's holds an 11-8 all-time record over Newman. The Jets and Hilltoppers squared up earlier this season on Dec. 17 at Fugate Gymnasium, which St. Edward's won 66-48.

-Newman is currently in sixth place in the conference standings heading into the games this weekend. Oklahoma Christian is in fifth place by only one game to the Jets, while St. Edward's is tied for first place with St. Mary's.
-Alexander is currently second in the conference in scoring with 15.1 points per game.
-Newman is still first in the conference in scoring defense by only allowing 55.7 points per game and also leads the conference in forced turnovers with 20.2 takeaways per game.
