WICHITA, Kan. — Looking to bounce back from last weekend the Newman women's basketball team will be hosting York College in a nonconference matchup Saturday. The Jets are continuing their three-game nonconference schedule and four-game homestand, before getting back into the swing of the conference.

The Jets (8-5) are coming off a loss at the hands of the Rangers of Northwestern Oklahoma State 65-41. The Jets were looking to keep their winning ways especially against nonconference opponents who they have a 6-4 record against this season.

The Panthers (4-10) are coming off a loss at the hands of the No. 21 team in the nation, Friends University 83-48 on Saturday. Monday the team took on the Bulldogs of McPherson College and would come up short in that game as well losing 68-47.
