The Jets Are Back On The Road For Their Action This Weekend

WICHITA, Kan. — Coming off a close loss in overtime the Newman women's basketball team is set to hit the road again this weekend. The Jets have started off strong in their conference matchups notching some quality wins against quality opponents with only one blemish being the loss suffered Saturday.

SCOUTING NEWMAN

The Jets (11-6, 3-1 Heartland) got back into the swing of conference play Thursday when they played host to Rogers State, looking to make a statement after their nonconference matchups the Jets were able to come away with a quality victory, winning 78-57 over the Hillcats. The Jets would then travel to Fort Smith, Arkansas for their matchup against Arkansas Fort-Smith, both teams played physical good basketball, but the Jets would come up short in overtime losing 80-76 suffering their first conference loss.

SCOUTING THE RATTLERS

The Rattlers (7-9, 1-2 Heartland) are coming off a weekend in which they jumped back into conference play Saturday after a long break. The Rattlers would travel to Lubbock, Texas to take on Lubbock Christian and would suffer a loss at the hand of the Lady Chaps 76-42.

SCOUTING THE DUSTDEVILS

The Dustdevils (2-14, 0-2 Heartland) were also getting back into the conference after the New Year break the team would also travel to Lubbock, Texas Saturday to take on the lady Chaps of Lubbock Christian the Dustdevils would suffer another conference loss, losing the game 73-53.

-The Jets defense has really shown up so far in this season sitting third in the conference holding their opponents to 59.9 ppg.
