WICHITA, Kan. —After a bounce-back victory, Saturday the Newman Women's basketball team will be looking to keep that momentum going into this week's action. The Jets will be splitting up home and away contest this week as they welcome Arkansas-Fort Smith Wednesday and will travel to Austin, Texas Saturday to take on St. Edward's.

SCOUTING NEWMAN

The Jets (14-8, 5-3 Heartland) are coming off a really tight game with No. 2 Lubbock Christian Thursday fighting back after going down by double digits twice and coming up just short at the end 73-66. Saturday the Jets welcomed Oklahoma Christian to Fugate the teams were looking to bounce back after suffering tough losses Thursday the Jets were able to come away with the close victory 70-67.

The Lions (14-7, 7-2 Heartland) are coming off a split weekend in which they also took on Rogers State Wednesday and were able to get a well-deserved victory over the Hillcats 68-59. Saturday the Lions took on No. 2 Lubbock Christian the teams would go back and forth but the Lions would come up just short losing a tough one  62-54.

SCOUTING THE HILLTOPPERS

The Hilltoppers (10-10, 4-4 Heartland) are coming off a 1-1 weekend when they traveled to San Antonio to take on the Rattler's losing a close one on the road 59-52. Saturday the team traveled Laredo, Texas to take on the Dustdevils and the Hilltoppers were able to bounce back and get the good victory 74-58.
