WICHITA, Kan. — With conference play and the season winding down the Newman women's basketball team will be on the road to finish up the season. Newman will be on the road for one game this week as they travel to Lubbock, Texas with a matchup with No. 2 Lubbock Christian Thursday. The Jets are coming off a well-played game on senior night and now have an opportunity to make a stride in the conference before playoffs.
SCOUTING NEWMAN
The Jets (17-9, 8-4 Heartland) are coming off a 1-1 weekend at home, Newman welcomed St. Mary's on Thursday the Jets would have a good first half but struggle the second half giving the Rattler's an opportunity to get ahead and later get the victory 52-38. Saturday was senior day and the Jets welcomed the Dustdevils, Newman ran with every opportunity given to them and would cruise to a 75-60 victory.

SCOUTING THE CHAPS
The Chaps (22-1, 11-0 Heartland) are coming off a 1-0 weekend as they hosted Rogers State Saturday, The Chaps got off to a good start and would look back they were able to get that lead and keep momentum on their side leading them to an 82-38 victory over the Hillcats.
