WICHITA, Kan. — Jumping back in the win column, the Newman women's tennis team snapped a three-match skid with an impressive 9-0 victory over William Jewell Friday afternoon at Riverside Tennis Center.

Liza Gerasimova and Emily Young took a tight 9-7 match at No. 1 doubles to set the tone, and Emily Wise added a superset tiebreak at No. 2 singles to pick up a comeback win for the Jets (9-3) over the Cardinals (2-9).

Gerasimova won at No. 1 singles, and the rest of the Jets added straight-set victories throughout to complete the sweep.

Newman is back at it on Sunday, hosting Northwest Missouri State at noon at West Genesis.
