Brandon Smith Tabbed For New SID Position
Brandon Smith is entering his first year as the sports information director at Newman University. He became director on September 17th, 2018 and oversees media relations for all of Newman's 18 intercollegiate athletic programs.
Smith is responsible for writing, editing and designing all of Newman's athletic publications. He is also responsible for statistical operations and media relations at home athletic events, along with maintaining and writing releases for the official athletic website of Newman University Athletics (www.newmanjets.com).
Smith has previous experiences working as a student assistant while attending Barton Community College and Fort Hays State University.
A native of Quinter, Kan Smith earned a bachelor's degree in Human Health Performance with a minor in Sports Management in 2017 from Fort Hays State University.Â
