SAN ANTONIO, Texas — The Newman University softball teams bid at a series sweep fell short Saturday afternoon (Apr. 6) as the Jets dropped the final game of a three game set to St. Mary's, 5-0. The Jets drop to 10-28 on the year and 4-19 in conference play, while the Rattlers move to 23-19 on the year and 13-8 in the Heartland.

Bailey Bugner (2-9) went the distance allowing five runs (4-earned) on six hits, walking three and striking out one.
