Newman Triathlon Had Ten Individuals place at Maple Grove
MAPLE GROVE, Minn. – This past weekend, the Newman Triathlon team traveled to Minnesota to take on the Maple Grove Triathlon. There were a total of 301 competitors in this event. The Jets had multiple finishers on both the Men's and Women's side, with half of the competitors finishing in the top 200 against some very good competition.
On the Men's side,
Wyatt Mattas finished in 9th place overall with a total time of 2:04:59.Â
Mac Foley finished in 28th place overall with a total time of 2:12:35. We also had
Koki Takemoto who finished in 133rd place overall with a total time of 2:37:50.Â
Andrew Nguyen placed 145th overall with a total time of 2:39:36.Â
Steven Nguyen placed 216th overall with a total time of 2:53:10.Â
Matthew Nguyen placed 280th overall with a total time of 3:25:53.
On the Women's side, Newman had three individuals who placed with
Marlie Wagner placing 119th overall with a total time of 2:35:01.
Taylor Stevens placed 221st overall with a total time of 2:54:00. Lastly, we had Amanda Le place 252nd overall with a total time of 3:04:33. The Newman competitors went into this event against some very good competition and did really well.
Newman triathlon continues their season September 22, 2019 at Ames, Iowa in the Cyman Triathlon.
