Box Score WICHITA, Kan. – The Jets Women's Tennis team traveled across town to take on Wichita State at the Wichita Country Club for their first match of the 2021 season. The Shockers would take down the Jets 6-1.
 
Antonia Ramos and Emily Young took on Saidhujaeva and Bellucco in doubles, a match the Jets would drop 6-1. Marie Brunet and Isabela Campos Bifano would lose a close 3-2 match to WSU's Hsu and Zheng. Mirella D'Angelo Cavalcanti and Lauren Esfeld would fall 6-0 to Wichita States Kurahashi and Lazarova.
 
In singles, Emily Young would fall to Saidhujaeva by scores of 6-1 and 6-2. Marie Brunet would fall to Bellucco by a score of 6-1 in both matches. Isabela Campos Bifano would pick up the win after her opponent defaulted. Antonia Ramos would fall to Zheng 6-1 in both sets. Mirella D'Angelo Cavalcanti would fall to Kurahashi 6-1 in both sets. Lauren Esfeld would fall to Lazarovaby scores of 6-1 and 6-0.
 
The Jets will be back in action on Saturday, February 20^th as they take on Oklahoma Baptist in Springfield, Mo.
