SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - The Newman Women's Tennis team traveled to Springfield, Missouri to take on Evangel College over the weekend. The Jets would dominate in the match taking down Crusaders by a final score of 6-1.
Newman would take both of the doubles matches in this contest.
Emily Young and
Antonia Ramos would defeat Bjelica and Chaney 6-1.
Marie Brunet and
Isabela Campos Bifano defeated McAtee and Bridges 6-0.
Young, playing #1 singles, would defeat Bjelica 6-2, 6-1. Brunet would take down Chaney 7-5, 6-2. Campos Bifano would defeat McAtee 6-0, 6-1. Ramos defeated Yates 8-0.
Mirella D'Angelo Cavalcanti would defeat Anderson 8-0. In the final singles match,
Lauren Esfeld would fall to Overturf 8-6.
