SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - Newman Women's Tennis paid a visit to Drury University for two matches Saturday and Sunday against Maryville and the host Drury. The Jets defeated Maryville Saturday 4-3 and fell to Drury 0-7.
The mixed bag results does not dim the light of the bright spots in the match against Maryville.
The Jets swept the doubles points Saturday. The Saints did not go down without a fight, after
Dana Issabayeva won the top pairing, MU rattled off 3 in a row to take the lead.

Amber Hands answered the bell at 5 and 6 with impressive wins to help the Jets escape with a 4-3 win.
A day later, Sunday, the host Drury took a decisive 0-7 win over Newman.
