PITTSBURG, Kan. – Newman's season concluded Sunday in Pittsburg. The Jets were toppled by the Gorillas in a clean sweep.
Game 1 Final/6: Newman 0 PSU 8

Newman finishes 18-30 (9-17 MIAA) and finishes on a 4 game skid. The Gorillas finish with the same 18-30 (9-17 MIAA) mark after the sweep.
Game 1:
The Jets' offense was nearly non-existent in game one. The team only mustered 4 hits and 6 total base runners.
The Gorillas hung 3 crooked numbers to bring down the Jets in a quick fashion over six innings.
Game 2
After falling behind 3-0, Newman bounced back early in game two with 3 runs in the second inning.
Tori Waggoner singled in the first Jet run, while a
Taylor Ullery walk scored another. The Jets tied the game as Waggoner came around to score on a
Mackenzie Anderson ground out.
Newman took the lead in the fourth as Waggoner grounded into a double play.
The lead was short lived as the Gorillas recaptured momentum scoring a run in the fourth, 4 in the fifth and another in the sixth.
The Jets fell to the Gorillas, 9-4 in game two and end their season with a four game slide.
