WEATHERFORD, OK - Men's Golf competed in their third event of the season, playing in the Perkins Intercollegiate hosted by Southwestern Oklahoma State.
Chase Martel shot a team low in the first round, with a score of 77.
Noah Ahrens finished just one stroke behind Martel, with 78 in the opening round.
Brett Klussman had the best overall score in a round for Newman, scoring a 70 in the second round. It was the lowest score for a Jet so far this season.
Almost every Jet improved on their scores from a previous round, which led them to an overall team score of 922. The team went from a 320 in the first to going down to a 301 in the third. Martel was the highest placer for Newman, finishing tied for 43rd.
