Bethany, Oklahoma- Jets faced Southern Nazarene for the last 2 games of the 4 game series.
Game 1:
The Jets offense couldn't get going. Newman was unable to score through 3 innings. While SNU put up 7 runs in the first 2 innings.
Hits from Madi Canez and Gianna De Luca Paape got the Jets offense firing. Torri Waggoner added a single which allowed the Jets to score, cutting the lead to 7-1. That run was the only run that the Jets could score.
SNU added another run in the 5th inning to extend their lead. The Jets fell 8-1.
Game 2:
The Jets offense couldn't get going in game 2. SNU's hot hitting put the Jets away early, scoring 14 runs in the first 3 innings.
The Jets tried to put a rally together in the 5th inning, with RBIs from Laurie Cooke and Canez but could only get 2 across the plate.
Cooke was 2-3 from the plate with 1 RBI.
Newman lost 14-2.
The Jets are back in action March 20th where they will host NWOSU for a double header.
