WICHTA- Newman Women's Tennis hosted No. 27 Central Oklahoma for senior day. The Men's team took on the alumni for their senior day match.
Central Oklahoma was able to steal the doubles point away from the Jets. Isabela Campos Bifano and Dana Issabeyeva put up a fight against a No.4 doubles opponent, but were unable to come out on top and lost 4-6. Antonia Ramos and Nicole Bono put up their best effort in the #3 singles but fell just short, 4-6.Â
Issabeyeva faced her second ranked opponent of the day, No.32 in singles. Issabeyeva lost in two sets, 0-6 and 2-6.Â
Ani Zeikidze put up a strong first set, taking the win 6-1. Zeikidze was unable to take the second set, which forced a tiebreak. Zeikidze was points away from victory, but lost the tiebreak.
Bifano stole the Jets sole singles win of the day. Bifano dropped her first set, 4-6 but battled her way back in the second set to take the set 6-2. This win forced a tiebreak which Bifano was able to rally and take the win.Â
Divya Murali, in the #5 spot battled in her match. Murali lost set 1, but dominated in the second set to win it 6-1, forcing the Jets third tie break of the day. However, Murali could not pull out the win in the tiebreak.Â
Bono and Amber Hands fell in two sets.Â
The Jets, with chances to pull off the upset, lost 6-1.Â

This match was the final regular season matchup for the Women's team. The Women finish just one spot out of the MIAA Postseason Tournament. The Women finished 7th with an overall record of 9-8 and 2-5 in very competitive MIAA conference.Â
