Men's Golf finishes in 9th place at MIAA Championships

BOLIVAR, Mo. - Men's Golf finished their final event of the season, the MIAA Championships in Bolivar, Missouri at the Silo Ridge Golf Course.
 
As a team, Newman finished in 9th place, shooting 939. The Jets finished above Lincoln University by two strokes.
 
Jackson Lewis finished his first round tied for 17th place, shooting 75. He finished with four birdies and eight pars in the round to lead the team heading into the next rounds. He'd end the MIAA Championships shooting 233, finishing in 42nd and three strokes behind the eventual leader Layton Love.
 
Love finished the tournament shooting 230. He'd finish a team best tied for 27th place. Layton eagled on the 5th hole in his final round. Braxton Muldoon finished tied for 33rd. He improved his score each round, having his best round in the final day by shooting 75, bringing his total to 236 on the tournament.
 
Noah Ahrens finished tied for 44th. He shot 80 each round for a score of 240. Justin Looper finished in 49th and shot 247 in the tournament. Looper, a senior, finished his final tournament with 26 pars.
