LINCOLN, MO – The men's golf team opened their season at the Lincoln Invitational this week, playing at The Club at Porto Cima Country Club on Monday and Tuesday. This would be the first of five tournaments that the Jets would participate in this fall.

Noah Ahrens and Brett Klusman started off the tournament strong, shooting a 77 each in the first round. Their scores were only several strokes behind the lead in the first round.

Chase Martel and Quinn Toomey competed as individuals in the Invitational, and although were behind most of the pack, improved their scores through the three rounds.

Although struggling in the first round, Grant Delsart steadily improved through the three rounds, starting with a score of 88 in the first round, and ending with a 76 in the third round. CJ Best also improved his score from the first round, going from 88 to 85 by the last round.

Klusman was the Jets top placer in the event, finishing with a score of 239 through three rounds. The Jets finished in 13^th place overall. The men will be back in action at the end of the month, heading to the MSSU Lion Invitational on September 25^th and 26^th in Monkey Island, Oklahoma.
