WICHITA- The Jets hosted Barclay for their last game of 2024. Against the Bears, the Jets dominated on both ends. The Jets took the win at 84-39.
How it Happened:
- Paige Craft started the game with the first points. Barclay was able to add two of their own on the following possession. Jaeden McMillin scored her first points on the next possession from a Jets offensive rebound. After this point, the Jets started to pull away. With three-pointers by Monica Redondo and Craft, the Jets found themselves up 11-2 with 2:27 left to play in the first quarter. The Jets hit three threes to continue their run to make it 20-4 with 41 seconds left. Layla Pierce then connected with a layup on the last Jets possession of the quarter to secure the lead at 22-4.
- The Jets continued their momentum into the second quarter of play. To start the second, Charlize Williams and McMillin connected with jumpers to extend the lead to 22 points. Barclay was finally able to put another bucket in with 7:17 left to play in the half. Hayley Hughes then hit back-to-back three-pointers to take the lead to 26 with just over three minutes to play. The Bears continued to try to put points together, they just could not put enough stops together to cut into the deficit. Hughes added to her nightly total with a jumper to take the Jets up 37-12. Katie Weiss hit her first bucket of the day with a three-pointer to score the final Jets points of the half. Going into the break, Newman had the lead at 40-14.
- Barclay was first to score out of the break, but the Jets weren't far behind with a basket of their own by Craft to keep the deficit at 26. McMillin then went on a run of her own, scoring the next seven points on her own to take the Jets up 49-16 with 7:22 to go in the third quarter. Barclay was then able to stop McMillin's run with a basket of their own. Brooklyn Love was the next Jet to score with a jumper. On the next possession, Kaitlyn Reeves hit her first basket of the day. Dani Williams added her first points of the season at the 3:12 mark with a three-pointer. Following a Barclay turnover, Hughes added another three to take the lead up to 41 points to close out the third quarter.
- Brooke Burcham started the fourth quarter with her first basket of the season. Barclay was able to answer back with a basket, but Weiss hit another three. The Bears put together a four-point run, but Williams ended the run with a layup to keep the deficit at 43 points. Weiss and Burcham then hit back-to-back threes to keep the Jets offense hot in the fourth quarter. To close out the game, Newman scored on five straight possessions. This allowed the Jets to take the game with a score of 84-39.

- McMillin recorded 14 points and ten rebounds for a double-double.
- Craft scored 13 points, going 5-8 from the field.
- Hughes and Weiss both added 11 points, both career-high points.
- 12 different Jets found the scoring column.
- The Jets shot 43.8% from the field as a team.
