SPRING HILL, Kan. - Chase Martel finished in first place at the Konzem Capra Invitational this week, becoming Newman's first number one overall finisher at a tournament since joining Division II. 

Martel had two of his best rounds of the year, shooting a 73 in the first round and scoring team low 72 in the second round. On the final hole of the tournament, Martel made a birdie to take home first place by one stroke. Martel ended the tournament with an overall scored of 145. 

Noah Ahrens made a top twenty finish, improving on his first round score by three strokes and scoring a 77 in the second round. 

Quinn Toomey and Braxton Muldoon both greatly improved on their first round scores, with Muldoon getting fifteen strokes lower than his first round score.

The Jets will compete at the OKWU Spring Classic next week, which will be the men's third tournament in as many weeks.
