KANSAS CITY, Mo.- Women's Basketball traveled to Kansas City to face GLVC opponent, Rockhurst. The Jets took the win, 69-51.
 
How it Happened:
- To kick off the first quarter of play, the Jets put on a 4-0 run with two points by Jaeden McMillin and two from Paige Craft. Later, a 7-0 run by the Jets would push their lead to 11-2 with just over four minutes to play. During the run, McMillin scored four while Alexis Martin knocked down a three. The Jets defense held off the Hawks until the 1:50 mark when they scored their fourth point of the quarter. A free throw by Valeriya Lioukina and a basket by Delainey Wylie pushed the Jets to a 14-4 lead. The quarter ended with free throws by McMillin, taking the lead to 16-6. 
- A 5-0 run by the Hawks started the second quarter. The Jets responded with a 9-0 run. During this offensive surge, Dani Williams scored four with Carli Carlson knocking down a three and Lioukina adding a basket. The Hawks put together a 5-0 run to shut down the Jets offensive surge, taking the Jets lead to nine with three minutes to play in the quarter. McMillin hit a three-pointer to stop this run and push Newman's lead back to double digits. Another short offensive spurt by Newman pushed their lead to 34-18. The Jets would end the half with a 34-19 lead. McMillin led the way with 13 points and eight rebounds. 
- Five points from Craft and a three-pointer from Wylie kicked off the second half of play. This took the Jets lead to 42-19. Later a 4-0 run with baskets from McMillin and Charlize Williams stretched the Jets to 48-23 at the halfway mark of the quarter. To end the third quarter, Rockhurst put together a 16-0 run to cut the Jets lead to single digits, 48-39. 
- In the fourth quarter, the Hawks brought the score as close as 49-43. A basket by D.Williams took the Jets lead to six with 8:30 to play. The Jets offense would start connecting again, putting together a 12-0 run that took their lead to 63-46 with 4:25 to play. During this surge, McMillin scored four, Lioukina scored six and Craft scored two. The Jets would be able to hold off the Hawks for the remainder of the quarter. Newman would take the win, 69-51. 

Player Notes:
- Lioukina and McMillin both recorded a double-double with McMillin scoring 21 and Lioukina scoring 14.
- The Jets outrebounded the Hawks, 62-33. 

The Jets return after Christmas break to host Rogers State on January 1st at 5:30 PM.
