Last Time Out 
Through the first six non-conference games of the season, the Jets are 3-3, with wins over Arkansas Tech, Barclay College, and Manhattan Christian, and losses to Southwestern Oklahoma State, Wayne State, and Oklahoma Baptist.  

A 68-82 loss against Southwestern Oklahoma State was highlighted by Trae Clayton going 5 from 6 at the free throw line with a total of 15 points. Whilst Terrell Wright had 13 points and eight rebounds.  

The Jets won their second game 95-87 over Arkansas Tech, with a team high of 13 three-point field goals made. Jayden Schoen went 5 from 5 at the free throw line, and Brandon Wilson had 17 points. Whilst Sam Somerhalder had 7 rebounds and 11 points.  

Winning 117-42 at home on military appreciation night against Barclay College, Deacon Courtney led the team with 14 points. Kobe Freeman made eight free throws from eight attempts, whilst Terrell Wright had 11 rebounds and 12 points.  

A loss 84-87 at home against Wayne State, saw a team high 25 free throws made. Brandon Wilson led the team, contributing 23 points, and Jacob Joe went 7-7 from the free throw line, with 15 points. 

A win at home 85-55, against Manhattan Christian, saw Terrell Wright have 9 rebounds and 12 points, Thatcher McClure going 5-5 with field goals, and Trae Clayton with 14 points. 

Losing 75-88 to a Nationally Ranked Oklahoma Baptist, Jordan Glenn-Hawkins led the team with 15 points, going 7-10 at the free-throw line. With a career high 8-8 at the free-throw line, Thatcher McClure had 13 points for the Jets.  

 
 
Scouting the Jets 
- After the first 6 games, Brandon Wilson leads the Jets offense, averaging 12 points per game. He's shooting 52% from the three and 76% from the free-throw line.  
- Jacob Joe has the most assists for Newman with 24. He also adds 48 points and is .929 from the free-throw line. 
- Sam Somerhalder leads the Jets in rebounds with 30. Somerhalder has also contributed with 43 points and 21 assists.  
 
Behind Enemy Lines 
Northeastern State holds a 5-2 record. Their toughest loss was to Southern Nazarene, who are currently ranked nationally in the top ten. Xavier Glenn leads the RiverHawk offense, shooting .778 from the free-throw line. Harry Neilson is the leader in rebounds with 46. NSU will host Arkansas Fort Smith on December 2nd before facing the Jets on the 4th.  
 
Arkansas Fort Smith carries a 5-0 record before starting MIAA play. Last season, the Lions finished 12-16 overall. So far this season, the Lions have three close wins over D2 non-conference GAC schools. Brandon Scott has the most points for the Lions with 56. He's shooting .895% from the free-throw line. Christian Moore is leading the team in assists with 23. 
 
The Series 
- The Jets have a 6-8 record when facing the RiverHawks. Last season, the Jets won both games. The last time Newman won was on January 25th, 2025, with a 76-73 victory in Wichita.  
 - The Jets have a 4-2 record against the Lions. The Jets have won the past four games they've faced each other, including a 78-64 win in their last match-up in Wichita.

The Jets will play non-conference games against Kansas Christian, Southwest Baptist, and East Central before the end of 2025.
