WICHITA - The Newman University athletics department announced a change in leadership with the softball program, parting ways with Andrea Gustafson after six seasons. 
 
Newman posted a 94-227 record in six seasons under Gustafson, with the 2020 season being cut short due to COVID-19. The 2025 campaign resulted in a 7-43 record.
