NEWTON, Kan. - Jet's Golf played host at the Newman Fall Invite this week. After 36 holes, the men's team sat in second place with a total score of 573. To finish off day two of play, the men shot 296 to finish with a total of 869 for second place.
Alphonse Hermansson led the way with steady play, posting rounds of 72 and 68 to finish at 140 and sit in second place individually after day one.
Noah Ahrens joined him near the top of the leader board, firing a 71 in the morning and following with a 74 to close at 145, good for seventh place.
Tomas Asgeirsson opened with 75 before rebounding in the afternoon with a 71 to card a 146 total.
Grant Delsart turned in a 70 in the first round and added a 78 in round two for 148.
Charlie Townsend contributed rounds of 76 and 72 to finish at 148 as well. As a team, the Men sat in second place at the end of day one.
After day two of play, the men's team secured a second place finish with a 296 through round three, for a total of 869. Hermansson led the way with a 75 through 18 to secure third place and a total score of 215. Ahrens also brought in a top ten finish, tying for sixth with a 74 through day two. Delsart was the third top ten finisher for Newman, tying for eighth place with a total of 220 through three rounds. Delsart finished the day with a 72. Asgeirsson placed 15th with a 76 on the final round of play. Townsend rounded out the lineup with a 75 on the day, bringing in 18th place and a total score of 223.
