Last Time Out
Last week the Jets faced Central Missouri and Washburn. Against the Mules, McMillin sparked the Jets early scoring seven of their first nine points. The Jets then took the lead in the first period by five. The Mules then answered in the second period by scoring fourteen points and taking the lead going into the half. Coming out of the half, the Jets pushed ahead with points by McMillin and Perez forcing a timeout by Central Missouri. Following the timeout, the Jennies reclaimed the lead with nine unanswered points making the score 45-44 after three periods. The Jennies opened the fourth period to extend their lead, points by Perez got the Jets started. After a back-and-forth stretch in the beginning of the fourth period, the Jennies went on an eight point run to extend their lead. A couple late three-pointers from Martin could not close the gap for the Jets. Central Missouri would go on to win the match 64-54. McMillin led the Jets with 24 points and eight rebounds.
On Saturday the Jets faced the Ichabods. Points by Lioukina and Martin gave the Jets an early lead in the first period. Washburn answered with a 9-0 scoring run to take the lead after the first period with the score 22-14. Multiple three-pointers by Carlson and Wylie in the second period helped Newman cut the margin to four heading into the half. The Jets made it a tight game in the third period, briefly taking a 40-38 lead and trailing by just one at the end of the period. The Ichabods opened the fourth period with a 6-0 run. The Jets kept reaching to close the gap with baskets from Carlson and Craft. Washburn pulled away to take the game 69-55. McMillin recorded twelve rebounds and nine points. Wylie had two blocks. Craft added nine points and four assists.
Scouting the Jets

Arkansas Fort Smith recorded their last win against Missouri Southern at the start of the year on January 3rd with a score of 73-63. The Lions are on a three game losing streak with all three teams being conference opponents. The Lions average 61.4 points per game while having a field goal percentage of 37.6%. The team averages 36.4 rebounds per game. Individually, Telisha Brown leads the team with an average of 11.7 points per game. Layne Kirkendoll has recorded an impressive 17 blocks on the season so far and leads the team with an average of 6.3 rebounds per game.
