Kyleigh Lay enters her first season with the Jets in 2025-26.

She began her collegiate softball career at Johnson County Community College (2018-2020) before finishing at Central Missouri (2020-2023). At Johnson County, Lay tossed 61.2 innings in 2019, posting a 7-2 record with a 2.38 ERA, highlighted by a perfect game at the NJCAA Nationals. At Central Missouri, she recorded 328 career strikeouts, earned MIAA Academic Honor Roll honors in 2022 and 2023, and was named MIAA Honorable Mention in 2022.

Lay earned her bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Juvenile Justice and Child and Family Development. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Social Work.
