Jerise Lolar is in her second season as the top assistant women's basketball coach at Newman University.

Lolar, a Wichita Heights High School product, joined the Jets after spending a season as Director of Basketball Operations at Missouri State University.

Prior to her season at Missouri State, Lolar spent three seasons as an assistant coach at Butler Community College. She helped guide the Grizzlies to a 48-46 record during her tenure, including a 20-12 mark during the 2010-11 season. She joined the Grizzlies after a one year stint as a graduate assistant at Pittsburg State, where her duties included coordinating opponent scouting, monitoring academic progress and pre-season conditioning and coaching duties.

Lolar played collegiately at Division I University of the Pacific for two seasons, earning honorable mention All-Big West Conference accolades as a senior in 2006-07. She began her college career at Seward County Community College, where she helped the Lady Saints to a 67-8 record and two NJCAA Region VI titles.

A Wichita native, Lolar enjoyed a standout prep career in which she led Wichita Heights High School to back-to-back Kansas 6A state championships and a 45-5 record over her final two seasons as a Falcon. Lolar earned a bachelor's degree in sociology with an emphasis in criminal justice from Pacific in 2007.

Lolar is the daughter of Carrissa Freeman. She resides in Wichita.
