WICHITA – Mik Love is in his second season as the Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach for the Newman women’s basketball program. Love has served as a graduate assistant for the NU women’s basketball team the previous two seasons.
 
While a graduate assistant as NU, Love helped the Lady Jets make back-to-back appearances in the Heartland Conference Tournament. In the 2013-14 season, NU finished second in the conference with a 13-7 record, and the Lady Jets went 16-11 overall. Love worked primarily with the post players and assisted in scouting and recruiting.
 
Before his time at NU, Love worked with Maximize Training, developing both men’s and women’s basketball players, including many Division I players.
 
Love graduated from Wichita State with a bachelor’s degree in sports management, and he recently finished his master’s degree in organizational leadership at Newman.
