In High School: Saldana attended Centennial High School was a four year varsity athlete participating in both basketball and track… As a basketball player Saldana earned academic all-district, all-conference honorable mention in 2013-14, second team all-district, academic all-district in 2015-16, and first-team all-district in 2016... As a track runner she was an area qualifier... She was also a member of the National Honor Society and Vice President of the Broadcast Team.
