2012-13 (Sr.): Played in 24 games her senior season...Sumayyah averaged 3.4 points and 4.4 rebounds per game...she was second on team with a 45.9 shooting percent...had a career high 12 rebounds this season against McMurry.

Before Newman:
Played her freshman year at Allen County Community College where she averaged 10.6 points and 5.8 rebounds during the 2009-2010 season...Transfered to Iowa Western Community College for her sophomore season, averaging 7.0 points and 4.2 per game while leading the Reivers to numerous national rankings and the NJCAA Region XVI title...Played high school at Percy Julian High School in Chicago, Ill. where she was the 2007 Player of the Year.
