Posted a personal-best two-mile time (13:54) at the Emporia State Dual meet in Emporia, Kan. ...Ran the 5K course at the Missouri Southern Stampede in Joplin, Mo., in 22:00 for a personal-best...Posted a 26:37 time at the Heartland Conference Championship race in Wichita, Kan.
As a Sophomore (2009):
Ran in five of Newman's seven races as a sophomore...Posted an 18:56 in the two-mile Baker Invitational in Baldwin City, Kan., to open the season...Recorded her season-best 5K time (25:44) at the Friends Invitational in Wichita, Kan. ...Ran the 6K Heartland Conference Championship course at Dallas, Texas in 30:34.
As a Freshman (2008):
Opened her collegiate career with a 22:54 5K time at the Missouri Southern Stampede in Joplin, Mo. ...Followed that time with a season-best 5K time of 22:09 at the Tabor Invitational in Hillsboro, Kan. ..Finished her season with a 6K time of 28:39 at the NCAA Div.
