Senior (2016-17): Finished in seventh place at the NCAA Division II Wrestling Championships to earn All-America status for the second time ... Went 22-4 overall at 125 pounds and a perfect 6-0 in duals and 5-0 in MIAA duals ... Recorded four pins, two technical falls and six major decisions ... Won seven matches against nationally ranked opponents ... Won a second straight MIAA title at 125, and went 4-0 to capture the NCAA Super Region 4 championship

Junior (2015-16): Finished in fifth place at the NCAA Division II Wrestling Championships to become Newman's first NCAA All-American in an individual sport ... Went 33-5 overall, including perfect marks of 10-0 in duals and 5-0 in MIAA duals ... Recorded two pins, three technical falls and five major decisions ... Named MIAA Wrestler of the Year and won the conference title at 125 ... Won 27 of his first 28 bouts of the year ... Placed fifth at the NCAA Super Region 4 Championships and won a match for true fourth to qualify for nationals

Sophomore (2014-15): Finished fourth at the NCAA Super Region 4 Championships to qualify for the national tournament, winning three straight consolation matches after falling in the opening round
