Williams is entering her 4th year with the Jets in 25-26.
On July 1, 2024, Daphne Williams was named Sports Information Director.
As SID, Williams serves as the primary media contact for all 18 of Newman Athletics' teams. Williams manages social media, newmanjets.com and live statistics while assisting with broadcasting efforts for the Jets.
In 2023-24, Williams served as the Graduate Assistant under then first year head coach, Amy Briggs. Williams would earn her Masters of Business Administration at Newman University in 2024.
The Halstead, Kansas native joined Newman Women's Basketball coaching staff in the 2022-23 campaign. That year's team went on to the first ever MIAA Tournament berth for women's basketball. Williams also served as the main contact in the SID office for Men's and Women's Soccer, Tennis, Women's Golf, Bowling, Women's Basketball, Triathlon, and Softball in the spring of 2023.
Williams spent 4 season as a member of the Washburn University Women's Basketball Team. While on the team, Williams earned MIAA Academic Honor Roll on two different occasions and Dean's Honor Roll three times. In the spring of 2022, Williams earned a B.A. in Mass Media: Advertising & Public Relations with a double minor in coaching and studio art.
