Maureen “Mo” Rohleder is entering her 21st year at Newman University in 2025-26, and her sixth as Compliance Coordinator. Rohleder served 14 years prior as the Assistant/Associate Athletic Director and Senior Woman Administrator. She was promoted to Associate Athletic Director prior to the 2015-16 year.
Rohleder is a member of the athletic department’s leadership team, and ensures the Jets’ programs are compliant with NCAA, and MIAA rules. She also coordinates all logistics for the department. She is the chair of the Hall of Fame committee, the administrative advisor for the Newman Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, and a member of the Faculty Athletic Advisory Committee.
Rohleder started at Newman as volleyball coach, assistant A.D., and SWA for four seasons beginning in 2005, her coaching career spanning the Jets’ transition to Division II with two seasons in the NAIA and two at the NCAA level. After four seasons as the head coach, Rohleder continued her position as Assistant Athletic Director and her role as the Senior Woman Administrator.
Before coming to NU, Rohleder coached for 13 seasons at Bishop Carroll High School in Wichita, winning four state championships. Bishop Carroll won 10 Greater Wichita Athletic League championships in her 13 seasons. She was inducted into the Wichita Sports Hall of Fame in 2011.
Rohleder earned two degrees from Newman, including a bachelor’s degree in sociology and a master’s in education. A two-sport student-athlete for the Jets, Rohleder played volleyball and softball.
She and her husband, Al, who played basketball at NU, have four sons and eleven grandchildren.
