All-Heartland Conference Team

WACO, Texas – Sophomore Alexandra Ciabattoni has been named the Heartland Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Year, announced today (March 5) by the Heartland Conference office.
 
Ciabattoni, who was also All-Heartland Conference First Team, led the Heartland in scoring at 20.2 points per game and her 59.3 percent field goal shooting was second in the conference. She was top 10 in rebounds (6.9), steals (1.8) and blocked shots (1.2).
 
She led the Lady Jets to a tie for second in the Heartland Conference with a 13-7 record. NU is currently 16-10 overall. The Lady Jets take on St. Mary's on Friday (March 7) at 7:30 p.m. in Laredo, Texas at Texas A&M International.
 
As a freshman, Ciabattoni was the Heartland Conference Freshman of the Year, and a All-Heartland Conference First Team selection.
