WICHITA - The Newman women's soccer team closed out its season by giving up three goals for the second consecutive game, falling 3-0 to Texas-Permian Basin Tuesday afternoon on Senior Day at Wilkins Field.

Christina Farid was unable to record a single save in the match. Texas-Permian Basin (6-11-1, 3-7-1) took just three shots on goal, and were out-shot 11-8 by the Jets, but all three shots the visiting Falcons put on goal found their way into the net. Newman had its own chances to score, but UTPB keeper Victoria Ramirez posted seven saves.
With the loss, the Jets finish the season at 8-7-4, and 6-4-2 in conference play.
